fine art photography by rafael e manresa

………..if I were to express in its simplest form what it is that I look for when someone is viewing one of my images, I would have to say that a long out breath… a deep exhalation would be it.

That letting go of breath means the viewer and the image connected at a level not of the intellect.  It also means that describing the image in words becomes an option, not a necessity. I truly feel I am a reporter, for that is all I do.  I report to the viewer a momentary connection, through the lens, between me and something that called out to me to be recorded and shared with my fellow travelers………and there are no further processes, names or even talent connected with that.  In a way I just become open, a receptor to the call.

welcome to the world as seen through my eyes
